I am a class 1 CE electrical contractor, this license is issued by the state government which meets certain requirements. A Master electrician has to be educated in the fundamentals of electricity, building codes, project management, and safety regulations. A Master electrician lays out the wiring system, installations, and gets the permits for the work. They also oversee and supervise apprentices and sign off on the journeymen’s work when completed after final inspection.

Listed below are the requirements by the state to issue a Class 1 CE contractors license:
-Four years minimum experience by a licensed CE contractor with referral letter to state board
-Electrical testing completed proctored by the state
-Business and law testing completed
-Proper insurance policy provided
-Fire and safety testing
-OSHA requirements for safety and health
-CPA required to establish the company’s monetary limits per a job contract
-State board review
-Class 1 CE electrical license is good for two year period before renewal
-Local business license required
